This website is operated by Pedro Tribizon, trading as MEC Shop.
Throughout the Site, the terms “I,” “me,” and “my” refer to the person operating MEC Shop.
MEC Shop offers this website, including the information, tools, products, and services available through it, subject to your acceptance of these Terms of Service and the policies referenced within them.
By visiting the Site or purchasing something from MEC Shop, you use the “Service” and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under applicable law.
MEC Shop is hosted on Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform used to sell products and services.

By using the Site, you confirm that you are legally permitted to enter into a contract in your country or place of residence.
You may not use the Site or its products for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
You must not:
- violate applicable laws or regulations
- infringe intellectual property rights
- transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
- attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the Site
- use the Site for fraudulent or misleading purposes
I may restrict or terminate access to the Site where these Terms are breached.
2. Products and Availability
Many MEC Shop products are produced on demand.
Product availability, designs, colours, sizes, specifications, prices, and descriptions may change from time to time.
I make reasonable efforts to display product images and colours accurately, but actual colours may vary slightly depending on your device, screen settings, production process, or materials.
Products may be discontinued or temporarily unavailable without prior notice.
I may limit the quantity of products available for purchase or restrict sales where reasonably necessary.
3. Product Descriptions
I make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, images, measurements, and other information are accurate.
However, minor variations may occur because many products are individually produced.
If an item you receive is damaged, defective, misprinted, or materially different from what you ordered, please contact me in accordance with the Return & Refund Policy.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights regarding defective or non-conforming goods.
4. Prices
Prices may change without prior notice.
The price charged will be the price displayed at the time you place your order, subject to correction of any clear pricing error.
Any applicable shipping charges, taxes, duties, or other costs will be shown or explained before purchase where required by law.
You are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or local charges that may apply unless otherwise stated at checkout.
5. Orders
I reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
- payment cannot be authorised
- an item is unavailable
- there is an obvious pricing or listing error
- the order appears fraudulent
- the order appears to be intended for unauthorised resale
- fulfilment or shipping is not available to the destination
If I cancel an order after payment has been taken, the relevant amount will be refunded.
You are responsible for providing accurate billing, shipping, and contact information when placing an order.
6. Processing and Delivery
Most regular products require approximately 10–14 business days for processing before shipment.
Pre-order products usually require approximately 4–5 weeks, although some may take up to 5–6 weeks.
Processing time and shipping time are separate.
Delivery times depend on the destination, carrier, customs processing, and other circumstances outside my direct control.
Multiple items may arrive separately if they are produced or fulfilled in different facilities.

7. Shipping Restrictions
MEC Shop ships to many countries where fulfilment and delivery services are available.
At present, I am unable to ship orders to the European Union, including Spain.
Shipping availability may change, and the Site will be updated when new destinations become available.
8. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges
Because most MEC Shop products are made on demand, returns and exchanges for change of mind, incorrect size selection, or other buyer-remorse reasons are generally not accepted.
Damaged, defective, misprinted, or incorrect items may qualify for a replacement or refund.

Nothing in that policy or these Terms limits any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
9. Legal Guarantee and Consumer Rights
Where applicable consumer law provides a legal guarantee of conformity or other mandatory remedies, those rights remain fully available to you.
If a product is defective or does not conform to the contract, you may have rights to repair, replacement, price reduction, refund, or other remedies depending on the law that applies to your purchase.

10. Right of Withdrawal
Where applicable law gives you a statutory right of withdrawal, that right will apply unless a lawful exception applies.
Certain products may be excluded from withdrawal rights where permitted by law, including certain personalised or made-to-specification products.

11. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the original design work, branding, layouts, graphics, photography, written copy, and other original content created for MEC Shop are owned by me or used with permission.
You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, sell, modify, or commercially exploit MEC Shop content without prior written permission.
Third-party names, marks, characters, stories, or other intellectual property referenced on the Site remain the property of their respective rights holders.
12. Third-Party Services
The Site may rely on third-party services such as:
- Shopify
- Printful
- payment processors
- shipping carriers
- Substack
- Patreon
- analytics or marketing services
These third parties may have their own terms and privacy policies.
I am not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party websites or services outside my control.
13. Third-Party Links
The Site may include links to external websites, including The Middle Earth Companion, social platforms, Patreon, Substack, or other services.
Visiting third-party websites is at your own discretion.
I am not responsible for the content, products, services, security, or privacy practices of external websites.
14. User Feedback and Submissions
If you voluntarily send feedback, suggestions, ideas, or other material relating to MEC Shop, I may use that feedback to improve the Site, products, or services.
I will not treat unsolicited ideas or suggestions as confidential unless we have explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.
You must not submit content that infringes the rights of others, is unlawful, abusive, misleading, malicious, or contains harmful software.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability arising from fraud, intentional misconduct, or mandatory consumer protections.
Any limitation of liability in these Terms applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses or claims resulting from your unlawful use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person's rights.
This provision does not affect any mandatory consumer rights.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

Any rights or obligations that by their nature should continue after termination will remain in effect.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your country of residence.
Nothing in these Terms removes any rights you may have to bring a claim before a court or authority that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.
